We have been trying to settle a living trust for over a year and it appears the other side has been dodging us so they will not have to settle since Social Security (SSI) will take part or all of their proceeds when they settle. Our attorney just billed us $1700 for 5.6 hours of work answering a letter from the opposing attorney. We are frustrated. Our attorney will not even return our calls since we sent an email saying that the bill seemed very high to answer one letter which has said the same thing most of the letters have said for a year. Help, please!
