In VA for a no fault divorce with children involved a 1 yr seperation is required. Are either of the parties allowed to date or co-habitate with someone else during this seperation? After the 1 yr seperation, how long does it take for a divorce to be finalized and what are the procedures to obtain the divorce?

In VA, it would be a very bad move for the parent who wants custody to openly date and even worse to have a 'friend' stopped overnight.
