New to the game and business partner used personal attorney to be the company’s attorney. Now, when I have questions that ‘might’ effect the partner, the lawyer cannot answer. Is there something I can do to not have this attorney represent the company anymore?

You can tell your partner that you want a new attorney for the business who is not affiliated with him.

What is the name of your state, Dawner?

Are you an equal partner?

The simple solution is the one suggested by LdiJ. Tell your partner you want the business to have a different attorney.
