What is the name of your state?PA
Im from PA and i leased a new 03 silverado in july of 03 the first time i had a problem with this was in may of 04.

My gas guage started giving me false readings, in may of 04
I ran out of gas but i didnt know that because my gas guage still read 1/4 tank, patriot motors sent a mechanic down and they put gas in it and told my wife i was out of gas and she told them that it said it had gas on the guage, but they said it was just out of gas, then it happened to me about 10 miles from my house approximately a week later and i had my wife bring me gas out, but the guage said i had over 1/4 tank, i called and took it in to be fixed, it worked for a little while after i got it back from patriot motors and then it acted up again,(same thing false gas gauge readings) and i took it in again, then it worked for a few months and acted up again,(same thing false gas guage readings) so i took it in again in november for them to fix it. But it acted up again in december so i took it in again at the end of janurary and chevrolet said they had a special technitian come in to work on it, after i got it back about 1week later i got false readings again, my tank read 1/4 tank when i pulled it in my garage, i took it up the road approx 2 miles and went into a store and when i came out and started the truck the guage read empty.. so it has to go back a 5th time this week feb 17 th . also i had it in twice for a steering shaft problem..
I feel this is a safety problem, who is to say my wife or I wont be driving on a major highway like interstate 80 in traffic and think that we have gas and have it run out and get into an accident, i have lost all confidence in this vehicle and would like chevy to buy it back....i think this has went on long enough.. i purchased this vehicle brand new.....(after the 4rth time i had it in when the gm special technitian was supposed to have come in to work on it, they couldnt find anything wrong so they changed various things on the fuel system guages to try to correct the problem but couldnt find anything to test out that was bad, so to me they never fixed the problem and then a week later it acted up again) Im just sick of this for a brand new vehicle, I actually asked gm to replace my vehicle with a new one and they refused...This is ridiculous, i just dont trust this vehicle anymore...
