What is the name of your state? new Hampshire, does the wording in a lease carry on after it has lapsed and you are now tenant at will?
nothing specific just in general

You would then be a month to month tenant and all landlord tenant laws for your state would apply. Once the lease runs out it is void unitl you sign another one.
