In MA (but a fed tax question?) What happens if you file your federal taxes and then received a 1099 form for income on a side job that was not added to that filing?
Can you add to the next year? What will happen?
Thank you

You should file an amended return (1040X). Better that than have the IRS assess penalties and interest on the additional tax owed because of this 1099. Remember, this 1099 was also reported to the IRS by the payer, so they know all about it.
