What is the name of your state?Virginia State of gf is Maryland.

Ok so im 16 and my gf is 22. We did somethings that my parent didnt approve of. So my mom doesnt want her to see me til im 18 and called the police. They told her that she's not allowed to talk to me at all. So what can I do about this? I turn 17 in under 5months. I am deeply in love with this girl, and we are bothing willing to wait til im 18 to see her again. So is there anything else I can do? My mom is the only one that has a problem with her... thinks she's trying to get pregnant or something. I dont mind waiting til im 18 I would like to be able to talk to her however. I dont know if I can talk to her on AIM or email or whatever. I dont want her to go to jail. If I remember it right its was ok for us to have sex as long as the parents were fine, but im just a big mess right now. Her parents are perfectly fine with us. I just wanted to know what to do?

Dude. If your parents are against the relationship, they can cause her no end of legal troubles. Apart from that, normal adults do not look for romantic relationships with children. Your "friend" should be looking for a man her own age.

You will be so glad one day that your mom was looking out for you. Normal adults don't date kids. And, if she got pregnant, you would still end up saddled with CS for the next 18-21 years. Your future would be spent dealing with trying to see your child after she moves away somewhere, arguing with your future wife about the fact that so much of your income is gone to her for CS and you will be wondering why you were so gullible. Maybe even unable to afford college because of a CS order.

Don't destroy your future. Hopefully you will be a bit wiser by the time you are old enough to be legally sexually reckless.

Why is it that everyone thinks u have to be crazy to love someone only 6 years younger. Like its uncommon. Lets talk about how my mom and dad were 10 years apart and were married for 26 years till he died. My dad wasnt crazy just cuz he loved someone younger then him. And to tell u the truth almost everyone I know are married to ppl who have a nice age gap so to keep saying its uncommon I don't beleave. I think someone needs to show me proof of that statement for me to beleave it. Cus so much tells me diff.

Loving someone 6 years younger (or older) isn't the problem. the PROBLEM is that one of those two people is a CHILD, while the other is an ADULT. If it's a lasting relationship, the adult should be mature enough to wait until the child is an adult. If teh adult can't - s/he has some serious issues. It's that simple.

A 6 year gap will not be a big deal when you are, say 24, and the other person is 30. You would both be ADULTS with a bit of time to mature behind you. Six years IS a big deal when you are 27.3% younger. There IS a universe of difference between a 22 year ild and a 16 year old. There is NOT such a difference bewteen a 24 year old and a 30 year old. There IS a difference between a child and an adult.

So, if you think 6 years difference is ok, do you think it should be ok for YOU to date a 10 year old? Or do you think 6 years might be a BIG difference after all?

Anyway, until you are a legal adult, your parents call the shots.

When I was 16 I was never called a child. It will be a shock to someones system to be a child and after only 15months be kicked out the nest and be an adult. I don't feel any diff from when I was 16. I never did anything that I didn't know was right or wrong. I did what I knew was right and wrong. Come on at 16 u know what ur doing. And everyone make mistakes no matter what the age. And when they do wait till hes 18 all these mean things u say about there relationship will be proven wrong.

Love is never plained if it was then the world would be much simpler don't u think. But its not and to tell ppl what they feel is wrong is wrong for anyone to say. Yes waiting is what has to be done. But only one to judge is god. Don't judge what u don't know or have been thro.

Thats all I will say. No more. Its all up to the ppl involved. And I wish them the best of luck. If they get thro this hard point in life still together. There relationship will be that much stronger.

You can feel like an 80 year old and still be only 16, that's not the point. It's what the law says that has weight.
I'm in my 30's, but feel like an 18 year old and apparently look like one too since I get carded everywhere I go and whatever I buy :( . So let's say I commit a crime and was being tried as an adult(obviously), would I get off the hook if I told them that I feel like a 16 year old inside....or look like one?
No one is saying love is easy, but it sure as hell can be illegal, and an adult should have the common sense too walk away if that's the case. If not, then he/she deserve the consequences.

"And when they do wait till hes 18 all these mean things u say about there relationship will be proven wrong."

What would be proven wrong?????? The OP has been advice to lay low until reaching 18 when he's free to make his own decisions.

Yeah, tell that to the judge who finds the adult guilty of statutory rape.

The OP posted asking if it was legal for them to have sex. The answers is No, since he's a minor. So in your opinion no one should have informed him of that? They should just have kept having sex, gotten pregnant and for her to end up in prison with a baby and for the relationship to die that way instead of by common sense?
The OP didn't know what was legally right or wrong, that's what he came on here to find out.
You've got your head in the clouds!!

Surprise - not if your folks report you as a runaway. Which they can do. And get your b/f in trouble for contributing to the deliquency of a minor. Which you are.

BabyPink17, fortunately for our poster, HIS mother actually does seem to have some common sense and is trying to allow him a chance to grow up before being saddled with responsibilty for a child. Maybe an opportunity to learn a career BEFORE starting a family so he can do the responsible thing and make decent money to help support them.

What are planning to do so you too are able to do this as well?

And, Huni, try not to "rite like u don't no how" when you post on these boards. Language is intended to be used to communicate.
