16 charged with possession and receiving stolen property

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Alabama

Two days ago I was charged with possession of marijuana and receiving stolen property. I have no criminal record prior to this. Both charges were misdeameanors(under a gram of marijuana and the stolen item in question was under 500$). I now know I shouldn't have said anything without an attorney(like I said this is my first encounter with the law) but I told the police who I got the pot and stolen item from because they told me I was a burglary suspect and was not going to take an extra charge for something I didn't do anyway the police want me to set this guy up tomorrow my question is will the judge bE more lenient or crack down harder if I do/don't do this for them(or am unable to). I have no attorney right now so if anyone knows a link to an attorney I can speak to online now for free it would be very helpful also tomorrow should I tell them I'm not doing anything till they give me an attorney? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: my court date is august 16th and I'm wearing an ankle monitor until then, also I talked to the juvenile probation officer already and she said the judge would let me either go to-
1-boot camp
2-drug classes(intensive outpatient)with probation
3-juvenile detention
And a couple of other options is this true or will the judge decide also will this get me sent to prison or jail and prevent me from school. I want to take this oppurtunity to get my life straight and quit ****ing around and acting stupid. This is just additional info if anyone needed it

Do not do another damn thing until you (or, more accurately, your parents) get you an attorney.

Police officers will tell you all sorts of things that aren't true to get you to do things.

They are allowed to lie to you. They are allowed to pretend to be looking out for your best interests. They are even allowed to tell you that they can swing a deal with the judge...

They can't. Only a DA can negotiate a plea.

This is why you need an attorney. Not a free one for a few minutes.

If your parents cannot afford one, ask for one to be supplied prior to your saying another word to the police.

Even if they threaten you with arrest... ask for an attorney if they want to negotiate a deal.

Thank you for the quick reply and this is the answer I was looking for so tomorrow when I go down I will tell them I'm not saying anything or helping them do anything until I get an attorney. Also any additional advice you can give would be much obliged.

Also did I mess up already by not getting an attorney from the beginning?

Treat the officers with the respect they deserve. They are just doing their job and you are, honestly, a criminal.

Do not embellish or ad lib. Simply state "I would like an attorney present prior to the negotiation of any deal." and either "My attorney's name is X and his number is Y. Please call him." or "I cannot afford an attorney and would like to request the services of a public defender, please."

If they ask again, repeat the above. NOTHING ELSE.

I don't know what you said... but you already sang like a canary in a coal mine.

You need to shut up... starting NOW.

This includes not talking to ANYONE about this case except your attorney. Not you friends, not your relatives, not even your parents.

Ok so be polite and do nothing till I have an attorney got it. Thank you once again, also I've been asking around on other forums and I've been told it's best not to set the guy up because I won't know the reprecutions from the guy. The police "said" I wouldn't have to worry about him which as you stated above they will lie to get me on their side. Again thank you I will update tomorrow with info on how everything goes.

Edit: oh yea and one more thing can I trust the probation officer? Or is she going to lie to me too she is not involved in the set up except that she is aware I'm doing it.
