What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Minnesota
We have had custody of my now 16 year old son for 3 1/2 years. He has had a lot of issues that we have tried to deal with in different manners. But this is it. We have been having more trouble with his listening/respecting the house as of late, so he went and stayed at his grandma's house. I have told him, as well as his grandma, that he is to come home, yet he stays there. She has also called the police, saying I abanded him, which is not true. If I thought his grandma's was the best place for him, at this time, I wouldn't have a problem with this. However, since staying there, he has missed/been kicked out of school a couple times, missing assignments in school, and goes to the doctor every other day ( that is not a made up number either). I have asked them both, if he wasn't going to come home, to atleast contact me about the doctor visits. Neither one cares what I am saying. I have not gone to take him from her house because I am concerned about the repercussions at home, we have 2 daughters here as well to think about. Is there any way I can have him picked up, and put in juvenile? Any advice would be helpful.
