17, on my own, in need of advice soon(California)

What is the name of your state? California

Okay... I am 17 and currently living out of my parents home. I moved down here to Southern California for certain opportunities. While down here I graduated high school and found a full time job. Right now I am living in my boyfriends apartment while he is away. My problem is, my parents want me to move back as soon as my boyfriend gets back but I really dont want to. Since I have been down here I have truly improved as a person. I quit drugs/drinking, graduated, and I am now a responsible employee. Can my parents make me move back in with them? The other thing is my boyfriend is in the military and he is 21. If I refuse to go home can my parents do anything about the situation legally? I still have 10 months to go before I am a legal adult, I dont want to wait 11 months to have to start all over again. What are my choices?

In CA your parents can have you brought home by the police. Your boyfriend can also be arrested for harboring you and for contrinuting to your delinquency. He can also be charged with unlawful intercourse with a minor. (but, of course, I bet you're NOT having sex with him, right?)

Until you are 18 you are NOT an adult, and your parents have the say in the matter.

Not to mention what the military will do once they find out about it. That sort of thing tends not to help one's career.

Gads! I entirely missed that one!

Can we spell "B-R-I-G"? ... and how about, "L-E-A-V-E-N-W-O-R-T-H"?
