17 - GED - Adice

im actually 16 but ill be 17 in three months... I have my ged and i live in tx.. i would like to know if ill be able to move out at 17 without problems when i turn 17 cause my mom wants to keep me here till im 18 and that is nto going to work cause i need to go to college and get a job aswell a a car.... i can move in with my dad but the problem is he isnt really my dad but i was raised up to belive that... and i cant wait till im over 20 to start going to a tech collage.. my mom lives in the country and my dad lives in the city... my mom has manic depression bi polar and other problems..
her bf has been in the penitery..(cant spell) im constanly surounded by drugs.. i dont drink nor smoke anything...

If you are telling the truth about the drugs, you really should talk with a responsible adult about this. You could call the police and tell them exactly what drugs are being used and where to find them. You can go to a teacher or guidance counselor at school, both are mandatory reporters and should be able to help you. You could also call CPS.

If living in the city is the real concern then suck it up.

i am telling the truth about the drugs...

but i dont want to turn my mom in she has been through to much.. not to mention im not the only child. i have a lil sister that is over one year old..

and well i need to go to the city so that i can go to college. so that i can get a job a car.. i cant do that out here mostly cause i live in dopevile and because my mom doesnt want to let me... and this wasnt my idea.. this was my dads idea cause he knows how my mom is... ive been told that at 17 i can move out and having my ged will help..

i dont go to school i havent been in school for a year i already have my ged... i was court orderd to get it at 16

Daygo,
You must be 18 or emancipated to move out. The GED is not relevant to emancipation.
Why did you have a C/O to obtain a GED?
