What is the name of your state? Florida
17-1/2 yr old Son thinks he should be out on his own. An "anywhere but here with you" scenario. I have reported him twice for leaving with no contact for days. This last time I changed the locks since he'd been gone from Sunday to Wednesday. Doesn't attend school when he leaves either.
Wants to live with his 18 yr old friend and graduate from HS in May.
Should I be concerned with any abandonment charges if I lock him out? My outlook is that if you don't live here, you don't need a key. If you can't come home for days at a time, you don't really live here. Am not about to let him set that one up to be back and forth here whenever he just feels like it or hasn't any where to go.
Thanks,
Sal
