What is the name of your state?Ohio....My 18 yr old is on juvenile probation for truencey as of today ....She was a juvenile when she entered the deversion program signing a paper saying she would finish school, then she found out she was pregnant, being pregnant and going to school was a hard thing as she was sick alot so at 18 she stopped going needless to say she faild in the deversion program after having the baby she had a court date today she is now on probation til she gets a ged or finishes the goal digital program and also 30 hrs of community service....Now my question is how can the put her on probation and community service if everything she said and signed was done as a minor and now at 18 wishes not to finish school or any other programs at the moment and has no time seeing as they want her there 2 days a week 3 hrs on those days and see a probation officer she does have a child to raise, but she does want to finish her education at a later date when there is more time.

Well, they could always just chuck her in jail. That might straighten her thinking out.

school and 18

in missouri you can quit school at 16, move out at 17 and if you are a parent you have more rights as an adult since you are a parent. i would look into your laws since she is now 18 it shouldn't apply and also that she is a mom. also when she was pregnant she had the right to have a tutor to come to her home and be homebound tutored. she could have had special accomodations. there are schools that have programs for new moms also. how can she be truant first due to her medical condition then she now has a child to care for?

probation

if you are under the court before 18 they can monitor you until you are 21. its amazing though your state calls the cops on disabled kindergarteners at school and cuffs them and takes them to jail and they are making a 18 year old new mom go to school.

now it would be best if she could get her ged. how about contacting the school on programs or homebound tutoring.

or cut to the chase and hire an attorney. she should have had an attorney representing her in court so what did the attorney say about this

program

are you mom? 2 days a week for 3 hours is reasonable. why don't you watch the baby so she can get her ged and have a chance in life.
