I'm 19 years old and just got convicted of an MIP and open intox in a motor vehicle in Barry Co. The ticket is checked that I was the driver but the description of the charge says MIP with consumption. There is no MCL cite or PACC code giving information to look up the statute.
I had been drinking and a friend needed a ride so I picked her up. I was pulled over and they searched the car and found an empty beer bottle and half gone bottle of ****tails with the lid closed, but still in the vehicle. I took a PBT and at first blew a .0135 after having 4 error messages. They then made me blow again for a much shorter amount of time that the officer manually controlled and blew a .075.
This is my first offense for both and I'm just hoping for all of the information possible that I can get. What will my punishment be? What is the actual charge? Is it just an MIP or more? Will there be repercussions for My license other than the two points for the open intox?
