September 2011 I was convicted of a misdemeanor DUI. In Sacramento, CA. I never took care of my dUI and my drivers license is still suspended. Now that Im older and have more sense Id like to take care of this matter and put it behind me. Since it has been almost 7 years do i still have to do DUI classes and get the ignition lock installed?

If you're subject to the interlock requirement (the court assigned it or this wasn't your first DUI or whatever, you're in one of the pilot counties, etc....), you're still subject to it. If you were subject to the dui/drug class at the time, you are still subject to it. You must clear all your responsibilities with the court before the DUI will let you reinstate. You can't "wait out" the interlock requirement (well, at least not for ten years).

I'm curious - why would't you ask someone actually involved in your case (like the prosecutor, or even better, your attorney)?
