1. Had my oil changed two weeks ago and immediately experienced problems with automatic transmission jerking when shifting, and then stalling, especially when motor is cold or when shifting (car was running fine before the oil change).

2. Took it back to oil garage twice, and each time they said they couldn't find anything wrong, so I took it to the dealer, and they found that the transmission fluid was dry, and that they drained the wrong fluid. After doing a complete automatic transmission fluid service, the car now runs much better, except for some slight slipping when shifting around 25 miles per hour.

3. The cost was $260 for the dealer's evaluation and service. I also lost time from work taking it back to the oil garage twice. Since the dealer said that the transmission life of the car may have been shortened due to driving without fluid for 2 weeks (500 miles), that is a concern, but don't know how to project any potential damage (neither do they).

4. How do I get the oil garage to reimburse me for the $260 dealer service?(I discussed it with the owner, but he never called me back,as promised); can I also add time lost from work and somehow determine potential long-term damage to the transmission?

Thanks!
