3 Day Lease Cx?

Is a signed lease subject to the 3-day cancellation that applies to come purchase contracts? I had a tenant come back 1/2 hour after signing a lease and giving me a check; they wanted to cx the lease and get their money back. I had already told other prospective renters that the place was taken. I agreed to only charge the daily rate until the place was rerented. Now they're threatening to sue for all funds plus damages. Thanks.
