I kow this is probably the stupidest question ever- but is the creditors meeting private? I've heard you're in a big room with everyone else that's filing bankruptcy, and then I've heard it's a one on one thing.

Every one I've seen is in a public room (not necessarily "big", but you're definately not alone). In fact, I've never even heard of "private" meetings.

The one on one part is when your case is called and you and your lawyer meet with the trustee at his/her desk.
Don't worry, anyone in the room that wants to listen in can likely hear everything that is said.
