What is the name of your state? Live in NJ

My previous employer says they have 30 days from my discharge date to allow me to rollover my 401k to a new company. Yet, I see nothing in my plan that states this. Also, they say I left the company three weeks after I really did, that puts it back almost another month. What can I do?
