Currently, my husband shares joint custody with the BM of his 3 children. We have the children 2 days a week, every other weekend and so on.... (the BM has the kids 16 more days a year than we do). He pays her 1/2 of what he brings. The kids aren't doing well in school because she takes them in late or just don't take them at all. If my husband files for modification of visitation and request to have them 50% of the time, how will this new visitation order affect child support? Thanks for your help.

mississippi-- how in the world did an ex receive 50% of the non-custodials earnings. 2 yrs and still fighting for 22%. this is not the first of percetages i've seen way over than the state guidelines.. im not downing you, its nice to know a non-custodial will even agree to the 50% let alone pay it too.. and its a shame about the children's education. education is of the upmost importantance. especially at a young and impressable age. please try to retain all you can --phone calls, visitations, anything you buy the children out of the order and school records of being late or absent. these will help tremendously when going back to court...good luck....
