What is the name of your state?
Massachusetts

Ok Here are a few questions that can be answered easily.

I have a 16 year old friend who is a female I am a 15 year old male. We have engaged in sex so far three times. I am wondering what could hapen if her parents decided to do something or such?

I also live in a twon which I hate. I go to a high school which I hate and I want to dropout (I know this is not approved of by no one but I need to know). What is the legal age where a student can dropout w/ or w/o parents permission?

Thanks,
Logan F.

The age of consent in MA is 16, so your girlfriend would be the one getting in trouble. The age of majority is 18, that is when you can drop out of school without your parents permission. Think, rethink, and get the advice of a respected adult, before making decisions that can so deeply affect your future.

**A: one of the reasons NOT to dropout of school would be to learn proper grammar and spelling.

Standard answer on emancipation: get a full time job and support yourself 100%; that will help you prove emancipation.

Standard answer on sex with minors: I can’t guarantee that this info is correct.

**A: Ok, LoLo, tell us if you drop out of school, what kind of job will you get to support yourself? Have you ever reviewed the statistics on the number of dropouts vs. high school graduates that are employed, the type of employment and the wages earned? Speaking of crap, if you dropped out of high school, chances are you would be making crap at the lowest denomination of wage earning. If you do not like what I am telling you, tough. Face reality.

How do you intend to support a baby if your g/f gets pregnant and you've dropped out of school?

Man what are you doing? Your 15 having sex and you want to drop out of school. Those are two of the dumbest things you could do at 15. What happens if the girl gets pregnant? Are you ready to be a daddy? And if you drop out of school how do you attend to support yourself in your adult years. There wont be many jobs out there for high school drop outs. Not unless you want to flip a hamburger for the rest of your life. Which I doubt you would want to do.

My adive kid, stop having sex. There are many bad things that can happen to kids, you girl could get pregnant, you could catch a sexual tranmitted sickness. You could really screw up your life if you drop out of school. The chances of you ever getting a good paying job will be really low. Times are changeing, there are even some jobs now that you can't get without a college education. It's not like it was 30 year ago.

And I'm not some old adult, whoes married and has kids. I'm a 21 year old, and I have seen and heard a lot of things. I've seen what happens to people who have sex too young. I've seen what happens to kids that don't finish their highschool education and its not good.

Life is tough kid I wont lie to you about that. But you need to stay in school and stop having sex. If your having trouble in your classes, talk to your teachers or a school consoler that's what their there for. If you need someone to talk to call a teen hot line or talk to a church group, pastor, preiest.

I came here for I help. I know what to expect if I drop out. I have been talking to people but people dont care. There is only one person who is actually trying to help me and she is trying to get me into an Alternative Program. Also, you should think before you say, just because I'm 15 and I am having sex doesnt mean I dont protect my self. I use a condom and she is on the pill. Get your facts straight before you say crap.

Oh brother. Do you know that neither of those are 100% effective? Condoms have a 14% failure rate (generally higher when used by teens). The Pill has an average failure rate of 1-8% (and again, higher when used by teens because MANY - if not most - teen girls do forget to take a pill every day). Lots of teens get pregnant even when using birth control. So perhaps YOU are the one who needs to get their facts straight.

Again - how do you intend to support a baby should she get pregnant?

As for what you parents can do - they could easily ship you off to boarding school on the other side of the country, among other things.

Would you get on an airplane if the pilot told you that you had an 86% chance of arriving safely?

And after reading your other posts, your parents could also have you deemed a "Person In Need of Supervision" (or whatever it's called in MA) and have you made a ward of the state. Think your parents suck? LOLOLOL Wait 'til you're in a home for wayward youth. You won't see your g/f then, either.
