What is the name of your state? GA

Most of you know the situation of the ex wife ncp not ever paying a dime in cp. Well, today son got a card in the mail from Kim (mother) and she put $2.00 in it for him to buy something. No, it's not a mistype - 2 dollars! Man, we just spent $40 in school supplies for him last week, not to mention what we spent in clothes that he desperately needed. She writes in the card, "Glad you're ready for school to start and you have plenty of supplies". Give me a break.

Even

Even with Georgia' no-tax weekend (which just ended), that $2 won't go very far!

Sounds like she doesn't have a clue!

Glad you're able to buy him what he needs!

:)

I can sympathize with that - my ex had to borrow a dollar from his cousin to give our daughter for her 4th birthday this past Jan., and it was a week late! This happened in a "chance meeting" of course, but come on!

lcollins, that sounds alot like my ex! last year for my daughters birthday ex's mom gave him $20 to put in daughters card and it said, "this is for your brothers birthday too." My son's birthday is not until November!!!! This year my ex went to the local sharing is caring store for christmas to buy their presents. It made me so mad!!! I volunteered there and that place is for people who can't afford the gifts at christmas time and he could afford something because he was working, had no rent to pay or child support~!!!!

Ohhh, it annoys me!!! Deadbeats, I swear!!!!

yeah, that's right, I made a gramatical error and I caught it before anyone could say anything!!!! HEHEHEHE!:D

What makes the situation even more sad, is that my mom told me a few days ago that she mailed a card to him containing $10. It should make it here tomorrow. Child is not even her biological grandson! And she provides more for him and treats him better (not just monetarily) than his"mom" does.

Guys, I'm really sorry to butt in but I'd really like to know your opinions on something regarding birthdays if that's ok, since y'all were on the subject. Do you guys think sending a child(ren) between the ages of 7-10 $10 for their birthday is a good amount?

BTW, I think that what happened to you guys stinks! I just can't believe some people.

Get this one.

stbx has custody of his daughter from previous. Last weekend before my girls went to his house took his daughter shopping and bought binder and backpack. Did he buy anything for my girls - Nope. Also told his daughter not to tell girls. Well what do you think she did? Yep bragged.

All I ever got from my grandfather was a $10.00 check. My mother tried doing that to my girls and I said gently reminded her how we used to joke about it. When the girls were younger, I told her my girls would rather get a $2.00 present to unwrap. Now they want the $10.00.

I honestly think it is a good amount.

I also think it's a good amount. If the children have something they want to buy, they can learn to save their money.

I agree. $10 is a good amount.
And I see my kid isn't the only one with an idiot for a parent.

And I KNOW this is REALLY bad but I can't help myself...

Like I said earlier, my mom is sending him a card with $10 in it and it should be here today. I think I might hold onto it until tomorrow and give it to him right before "mommy" is scheduled to call. Hee Hee, then he'll tell her all about it. I don't really care, either. Maybe it will wake her up.
