What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Florida

Hi. This is a story that has happened to someone I know. She is a college student whose mother had her take out a private student loan in the amount of approximately 30k and the mother took all of the money and put a down payment on a home. I believe there was a verbal agreement for the mother to start paying back the loans for the daughter, but she is not doing so. Does the daughter have a legal basis on which to take the mother to court? The daughter burdened down with the debt and is thinking of filing bankruptcy. What would be the next reasonable step? How much do verbal agreements weigh in Fl. Courts?

So, the daughter freely and willingly participated in the fraud and expects the court to help her in her criminal venture?
