What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Fla

My 15 yr old step daughter filed a police report acusing my 14 yr old daughter of molesting her and my daughter took a polygraph test which she passed and the step daughter refuses to take a polygraph is there a way I could press charges against this child for filing a false police report and the courts would force her to take a polygraph. Makes me sick that someone can just say what they want a get away with it.

The polygraph is not proof of anything and I do not believe it has been recognized as evidence of the truth of the matter in any state.

Filing a false police report i a crime against the state. You can certainly bring this up to the police and even the prosecutor and ask if they intend to pursue it. If the reporting daughter confesses to making a knowing and intentionally false report, then the state might consider pursuing the matter. If she maintains that the incident occurred, the state may have no real evidence to prove the false report claim.

Since you obviously do not want to sue her (because you'd effectively be suing yourself), you are certainly free to enact your own penalties for this act even if the state is unable to do so.

Yeah, it is a sucky situation, but without sufficient proof the state is not likely to pursue the matter.
