What is the name of your state? TX

I have a will, written In MI.

I am widowed. Remarried.

The existing will { I have the only extant copy} is morally invalid.

It does not indicate the new situation; being married and living in TX.

The existing will does NOT indicate the benefiiary as I wish.

Clearly, this begs several qustions.

How valid is this existing will? Should I make it go away { I have the only copy}?

If I do not, what happens?

I have a sister, her three children and her 5 grand children. I have no reason tto give them anything. My wife should get everything.

Comments??

MY RESPONSE: Wow! You have a "morally invalid" Will? I've never heard of that! Just make a new Will, and the new Will should say that it revokes all prior Wills. Buy Quicken "Willmaker" and do it yourself.

Boy, a "morally invalid" Will. You learn something new every day, don't you!

By all means. Tear it up, shred it, whatever. I second the recommendation to use Quicken Willmaker. Be sure to check beneficiaries on life insurance, IRAs, 401(k)s, etc. while you're at it.

I am not a lawyer.

My response:

Mine has nude pictures of ME for her, on those lonely nights . . . when I'm six feet under.

Morally invalid. I swear, I've never heard that one before. But, leave it up to them Texans to make up their own terms!

It would be wise to put specific reasons in your will why you are disinheritng everyone else, or the disinherited ones will be tempted to contest this will.
