I was notified by my old mortgage co., that they found out that just before selling my loan they mistakenly applied my last payment twice so they sold my loan cheapper than they should. They contacted the company they sold my loan to but were refused to be reimbersed since my loan was sold at least twice since that. Now they try to get that money from me threatening to go to a collection agency and spoil my perfect credit. I believe that that is a matter between a seller and a buyer i.e. between the two mortgage companies but who listen?
I am in despair and don't know how to fight this big corporation. I live in Los Angeles, California.
Any advice is graitly appreciated.
Sam.
