I was trying to sell records on e-bay, anyway when I posted to items I'd simply go on the completed items, looked which generally sold for the most, look to see if my item looked like it and copy and pasted all the info

but wheres where I screwed up, like i sold a doors MSLP but it turned out mine was an elektra lp, i didn't even know there was a difference now i'm like up waist-high in compliants and demandings refunds. 3 records were returned with compliants, one for 15, one for 46, and one for $280. 2 of them have filed many compliants and one of them has even left threating messages on my phone. They have said they will file mail fraud

Normally i'd just give them a refund and be like sorry and explain however, i used to money to pay off a loan and now I dont actually have the money to pay any of them back....any advice? I'm really scared about mail fraud and i have no money and no idea what to do

My response:

So, what would you like us to say or do for you? Wave a magic wand?

There's an argument for fraud, but I think they would have to prove that you knew the difference and intended on decieving them. You DO, however, still owe them the money, and they should return the LPs for that refund. Find a way to pay them back.

Fraud is intentional intent to decieve. So no to mail fraud. Yes to civil action since you did screw up and owe them the money. You won't go to jail. But pay them back and let this be a lesson to you.

Ebay CAN ban you for stealing content from other auctions.

Are you out of your mind? Tell them to come sue you. They have to come to your state to do so, and they wont be able to recoup their travel expenses or time lost, any of that stuff. You really think they're going to do all that for (in most of your cases) less than $100?
