abandoned house=foreclosure redeemed on credit report ? how is this possible in MI

we basically abandoned our house after pleading with our mortgage company to lower our monthly payments in 2008. Never heard from them even when we had our mail forward to our new address right away. on our credit report it says foreclosure redeemed balance $0.00 how is this possible?

Maybe someone paid them enough for it so there was no deficiency ( so the mortgage amount was satisfied ???)
