What is the name of your state? Tennessee
I bought a small storage building 6 years ago. The seller left a lot of personal items... desks, office machines, a few small appliances, etc. I called him several times the first year and a half to pick them up. He said he would but never did. They had some value so I just moved them to the back. I sold my building last year. I called the guy again before closing on my property but he never came.
Thinking I probably had the right to own these items after so long, I've rented storage to put them in along with some of my stuff.
He is now threating to sue me for the amount he thinks his items are worth.
I thought about selling this stuff a thousand times, but never did. I wouldn't object to the idea of giving his items back but shouldn't he pay me for storage now?
