What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NH
Aproximately 23% of tenants have a lease in New Hampshire. With so much at stake , it is unfathomable a property owner would not have a precisely written lease/rental agreement in place! RSA's are better than they used to be, but in situations not covered then contract law will govern the condition if contained in your lease and not in violation of the RSA's.
If you are a smart landlord, also include in your lease a clause for 'abandonment and removal of goods'. Take immediate action in sending demands for rent and evict notices. If the unit is found to be empty and you have supplied notice in accordance with RSA's ...'If Lessee abandons the Leased premises, Lessor may enter said premises, remove Lessee’s personal property including furniture, clothing, and other belongings, place such personal property in storage as required by law, all at the sole risk and expense of the Lessee, and relet the premises. ...'What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
