I had an abortion recently. It was a mutual decision between the man that loved me and I thought I loved. Neither of us were ready for a child- this was our only route. This is not a question of right or wrong- so please don't reply with pro-life comments- they will be overlooked immediately.
My now ex-boyfriend told me that he would pay for the abortion in full since I had to go through it physically and since I am a full-time student.
He quit his job. Didn't tell me that he couldn't pay for it until the day before the appointment. I was already 5 weeks and would not wait any longer. I had my mother put the money up AND take me to the dreaded appointment.
He said he would pay my mother back in full this past Friday (01/19). Then his story changed to paying 1/2. I went to his home (30 minutes away) today after tracking him down only to find that he only had $50.00 to give me. He then promised that he would pay 50.00 each Friday until we are paid back. I then had hime sign a contract that states he will pay 50.00 each Friday until the 350.00 is paid in full. I left his home.
As I drove down the street something told me to look at the form. Well, the immature loser decided to sign it Ronald Reagan. I called him and told him I knew he did it but that I taped the whole conversation at his house- so he just screwed himself.
Well, he then proceeded to call the police to tell them to keep me away from his home- like I am a big threat. The policeman called me- almost laughing because the idiot admitted to signing the form Ronald Reagan.
My question-
Do I give him one chance to pay his 2nd payment this Friday? Or do I go straight to the Magistrate/ Small Claims court???

My response:

You take him to Small Claims court. You have a solid, written, contract. I don't care what he signed. It doesn't matter. Remember, an illiterate only needs to place an "X" on a contract for it to be legal.

So, he thought he could get away with it ? Then he's fooling himself. The judge will just make him sign a piece of paper with Ronald Reagan, and see that the style is the same. He's sunk.

And, by the way . . . good for you in exercising your lawful Rights to make your own choice.

I want to thank IAALiable for his input on my situtation. It made me feel very good reading your reply and I will follow your instructions.
I would like Notucky to know that my topic area is not a place to fight and go back and forth with each other. I have a real situation that is time sensitive because this man can take off out of Atlanta any time he wants. It is not that I feel I NEED 350.00- I am going by the principle of it and do not want him to do this to anyone else.
So, please take your argument somewhere else. I have no time for it.
Again, thank you IAAL for your input- it is most apprecaited and makes me stand a little taller today!!!

You're absolutely welcome. Go get him !!

Oh, and don't let Kathleen bother you. She's disgruntled because me, and many others on this Board, found out about her. She lies, and changes her story at a moment's notice. She didn't like that at all.

Reallymad,

It might also help you to get a statement from the police officer.

I hate people that don't take responsibility for their actions. Go kick the jerks butt in court.
