What is the name of your state? Florida

I have rent an apartment for 2 months yet. I signed the term of lease for 12 months. But something happened. My husband lost his job and we cannot afford to pay the rent anymore.

When I went in the apartment I gave a security deposit + first month of rent.

I told the landlord that I was thinking to move out , they just told me that I`ll be responsible for all the remaing months.

What do I do?
Help me .

You would be responsible for the months it remains unrented. They have to take reasonable steps to re-rent it .

If you can't afford a months rent why not see if red cross, your church, etc . can help pay it , and hopefully you both could find work .
