What is the name of your state? Columbus, OH

My little brother is taking summer classes at college this summer. Between where he lived last year and where he will live this upcoming year there was a gap in accamidations. He found a place to live for the summer in a empty frat house that is being renovated this summer. The owners of the property rented him (individually, the lease is for that room) a room, along with a handful of other people. Well apparently there was a party thrown by some of the tenants, and they are trying to evict everyone because of it. I know for a fact my brother was not a part of it because he came home to cincinnati and I was with him. Can they do this? If not how should he procead? I know there are a lot of landlords in college areas that take advantage of students ignorance. I'd like to know what rights he has.

Is this a hard question or too easy for anyones time

Also just found out the "manager" (the guy doing the renovation work), can also vouch for my brother. In addition, My brother was told by this guy that the company who owns this building has been looking for an excuse to clear the building, because there is "something" they are looking to do with it. Thanks for any help you can provide, my little brother is finally on the right track with his studies and does not need this right now.

You are not clear if the rental is month-to-month, or for a specific time frame. It could make a big difference...
