What recourse does a person have in a theft by trust situation involving an elderly person with advanced alzheimers?

This person convinced an elderly person suffering from document dementia to do two reverse mortgages in two years. What can the family do to help her?

This person convinced an elderly person suffering from document dementia to do two reverse mortgages in two years. What can the family do to help her?

The family can hire an attorney - seriously, that's the first phone call which needs to be made if for no other reason than to at least start the process of deciding whether the elderly person was in fact legally competent or not.

(just fyi - dementia in and of itself does not always mean the person is incompetent...medical records will be needed)
