I was involved in a verbally and physically abusive relationship. The last time a situation occurred, and he started to push me, and fought back, and in doing so he called the police on me. They took me to jail, and now I am doing a stipulated order of continuance, for 18months, with classes and the whole bit.

He wants to make things work with counseling, and then move back in together. I have been considering it, because we have a daughter together,(now 7 months), and if I don't he says that he will be able to take her from me because of this domestic violence hanging over my head.

If I go back, if there any way that he can do harm to my "stipulated order of continuance?" Just by calling them and making up a lie and saying that I did something to him? And is this story rare? Or are there others out there that have gone through the same thing?

He is obviosily tryiny to manipulate you but sometimes we make poor judgement in choices you had a choice to leave the situation or fight back leagally you choose to fight back and thats what being held over your head but to return to him is also giving him power. You return to him then allow him to put you in the same situation and if he was going to take your child whats stopping him from doing so? I believe this is a threat to manipulate you start covering yourself document everthing and record evrything within the law of your states rights. Also contact a lawyer if you can.
