What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Los Angeles, California

My ex husband was abusive to me however I have not seen him abusive to our children. I he has pushed me down and thrown furniture at me, break things, etc. Since I was never hurt in each incident, I didn't file any reports.
Although he's not violent to our children however I have witnessed him aggressively yelling, at the top of his lungs, at them (all under 3 years of age). Are these things enough for me to ask for supervised visitations only?
