I was in an auto accident when a police officer rear-ended my vehicle at a red light.
He puched my car 30 feet from where I was waiting for the light to give me the green.
There was no emergency call at the time he hit me and I was at a red light.
This case has been dragging on for a year and half, the officer admitted fault and I am still suffering after finishing with therapy over a year and 3 months ago. Why does it take the government so long to settle a case after the employee has admitted fault?

Because there an admission of fault not nec. mean there an agreement as to the amount of damages. Your post does not say if you an attorney and I hope you do, as often dealing with governmental units has special procedural hoops that can be a trap for the unwary. Also, the longer the insurance co or the governmental entity can delay paying the longer they the money workng for them, earning interest. Often it takes a trial datethat rapidly approaching to get a insurance co serious.
If not an experienced trial attorney, please get one.
