What is the name of your state? MD
Does a dealership have to tell you if a car has been in a accident and they know it has been. I recently bought a car and later realized after getting stuck in the car becasue the driver door would not open. I then found out it had been in an accident becasue of this the trans mount was also broken and the door misaligned. If there had been an accident I could have been stuck in the car for longer then needed. Is there any recourse does a dealer have to pay for repairs if u can prove they were there when you bought the car

Well most likely the vehicle was sold As-Is..

However.. when you purchased it, on the description does it anywhere say that the vehicle has not been in any accidents?

If so then you could sue them but may lose since you had the option of inspecting the vehicle before purchase, so I'm unsure about your chances.

The car was sold with a warranty. I am confused by other posts so if you do inspect the car but dont catch a problem you are still out of luck even though the probelm didd exist when you bought the car.
