My response:

Okay. No lectures. We don't know your State. We don't know your U.M. Limits. But, that's all moot anyway, because you're going to handle this yourself, and wind up getting the shaft. To tell you each and every step, and each and every procedural requirement, or to tell you what to do or say, what not to do or say, and when to do or say, is difficult at best, and impossible at worst. Get an attorney . . . oops !! I was starting to "lecture." Sorry, that's my job.

To be honest, I still don't understand if you have uninsured motorist coverage or not.

But, since you have a 50/100 policy, assuming that it is the same as a u.m. policy, you are limited to the terms of your policy which is 50 per person.

Have you talked to a lawyer? If you, not really should. There may be other issues that you are not aware of.

My response:

These were my thoughts exactly. But, he specifically said, "No lectures." Then, when he wrote back, I knew this guy didn't have a clue, so I just left it alone, saying to myself, "Self - - this guy will just have to learn the hard way."

Good to see you're around, Lars.
