Michigan, My mother in law had auto insurance on her son. The car was in his name. He died in the accident. It was the minimum insurance for a 1978 chevy car. What is she entitled to? The insurance comp. told her that she is not entitled to anything, because the car was in his name. Is this true? Thank you

If her son was over 18, the insurance company is correct. You do not state who was the party at fault. If her son was the responsible party, your mother in law has 2 strikes against her. If another party was at fault, she may sue the responsible party.
