I recently sold a book online. Basically the book was an international edition, and I noted this in the book description. The buyer has accused me of bait and switch as it is not the same ISBN as the US edition. Am I at fault here?

Did you advertise it with the ISBN assigned to the book or the ISBN assigned to the US edition which you did not have?

I'm not an attorney, but i would just tell them to return it and refund them. Its not worth the hassle. If they contact the publisher you could get into real big trouble.

If he has sold a restricted International Edition as "New", yes.

What kind of restriction do you think is on the book? If you buy property outside of the country, and bring it back into the country legally, why can't you sell it (if you didn't sign any contract that you agreed not to)?
