What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? MD

An addendum to my divorce was signed by both attorneys and both mom and dad. I never received back copies of signed and dated addendum from my attorney or the court with the Judge's signature. When I did receive a copy from my ex's attorney, it was also not a signed/dated court copy.

My questions - is it necessary for this addendum be signed and dated and incorporated into my divorce to be a legal document? If this was somehow now done, is there something that can be done now to have this document incorporated into the divorce? The addendum was dated in 2004, so it's been a few years.

Thank you for your help and responses.

Was the copy you received time stamped and a certified copy? Or was it just a copy that was not time stamped? Did you check with the court to see if they have a signed copy on file with the judge's signature?

The copy I have has no date stamp, or any indication it has been through the courts. It only has the two attorneys and mom and dad signatures. I am planning to go to the courthouse on Tuesday to request a copy from them. If they also do not have the addendum included with my Divorce, will it still be enforceable?

I am hesitant to contact my previous attorney since I have not used her for a few years and did not want to accrue additional expenses if I did not need to.

Thank you again for your quick response.

Is what you have the ORIGINAL? If not ask for the original from the attorney and file it at the court with a motion requesting it to be made an order.
