Kansas DUI

Junior Member
Kansas - i was recently convicited of two DUI's. Since I recieved two DUI's I had two administrative hearing's to determine the fate of my DL. I lost my first admin hearing several months ago. I got a 30 day suspension and a year restricted. I then had to hearing for the two DUI's at the city level. I plead no contest/guiltyto both charges. I then had my second admin hearing and the charges were dismissed. My lawyer said there is still a chance that the Dept of revenue may suspend my DL because i was convicted of two DUI's. I was always under the assumption that your driving priveldge was always a seperate matter and that is why you had the administrative hearing. Will the state of KS come back and take away my DL for a year because I was convicted at city level? if so why have the administartive heaing?

double post

But I'll tell you anyway: the administrative part and the criminal part are separate.

For examples, read some of this:
