I was wondering if taped conversations would be admissable as evidence in a Washington state civil court. The conversations would have been taped without the knowledge of the other party.

My response:

We'd like to assist you; however, you apparently didn't see that red writing up at the top of the page. Without your State name, or the name of the State where the problem happened, it would be difficult to assist you. Laws are different everywhere.

Thank you for your cooperation, and we look forward to you editing your post.

The answer is simple, no. Even if the person knew they were being recorded, the other side may agrue that the recording may have been tampered with and a judge may not allow even that as evidence. I learned the hard way.

Good Luck
