I have a general question to ask? The father of my child is not on the birth cert. If i was to marry and my husband wanted to adopt my daughter would I have to contact my childs bio father.

How involved is he with your child? Does he understand that, should you ever break up, it would then be HE, instead of the biodad, that must then pay child support?

Before doing step parent adoption the questions nextwife asked are important. But. the simple answer to your question is Yes you will more then likely be required to find a way to at least ATTEMPT to contact bio dad and you will have to show proof of this.
