What is the name of your state? Georgia

My short question is, should I hire an attorney to assist in applying for US citizenship?

I have done some research and believe I can complete the necessary documents and pass the required test. I believe I am a "person of good moral character" - I have only minor non-moving violations on my driving record that are over 5 years old. But since this is such an important process - would someone be willing to share the advantages of hiring an attorney for assistance?

I feel confident I can do this on my own, but don't want to be foolish. I don't want to waste money on an attorney if not needed, but if it is really essential I'll call one right away. I have lived legally in the United States for 22 years and have a green card.

Thanks in advance! What is the name of your state?

If you are confident that you can complete the application on your own and prepare yourself for the interview, there is no advantage for you to have an immigration attorney assist you. If the non-moving violation is, indeed, minor and you have no other criminal issues, then it is not necessary for you to have an attorney advise you.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions or how I can be of further assistance to you in this matter.
