I live in Missouri and a few years ago (less than 10) my adjoining neighbor planted 5 trees on my acreage next to his house. Although the trees now are large enough that they are a little nuisance, in trying to maintain good relations, I haven't said anything.
In reading this bulletin board, I am more concerned about him trying to invoke the doctrine of "adverse possession" if I wait to do anything much longer. What do I need to do to insure that he can't at some time claim possession of the strip of land next to his property which the trees are on?
