What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Hawaii, My son got into an accident and he was rear ended. The Vehicle that rear ended him was a car rental and it was rented to a local on the same island. A police report was made and the police said it was the person driving the rental car. My husband works for the same rental company and the manager told my husband that it is company policy that local renters on the same island must take complete full coverage. This accident happened the first week of October (last month). The other thing is my son's insurance on his car just expired. His car is just sitting and can't be driven. He still owes the bank money for it too. Can anything be done? It is taking the rental company forever to get back with my son. His called and no one is returning his calls.

so, have you contacted the driver of the car? Have you made a demand for the repairs as provided on the estimate you obtained?
