I live in Michigan. I just recently purchased a home in Ferndale, Michigan. With the home a new furnace was installed before we purchased the home. With the installation a permit must be submitted to the city to put the new furnace in. I never got a home inspection upon closing and I am having a few problems already with the new furnace. The seller's agent will not disclose to me the person who installed the furnace and now I found out there was never a permit used. Can I get any recourse even though I didn't get a home inspection?

Thanks!

Yes ands you should have requested and received the information prior to closing. Threaten the agent with filing a complaint with the State real estate licensing office.
