What is the name of your state? VA
A friend living in GA is leaving her spouse and getting out of a bad marriage. She and the husband only have the following in common with regards to debts, her vehicle is financed by her husband, his vehicle is financed by her.

She has a furniture acct with 4K in debt but has decided to leave furniture. She really doesn't want to have to pay for furniture she isn't going to keep or use. Would welcome any suggestions on what she should do. Should she try to negotiate a property settlement with the husband who is going to remain at the residence, should she try to come to some sort of arrangement with the creditor on picking up the merchandise. My apologies if i should have posted this on consumer credit, but felt this was the right forum. thanks!
